Chlor (クロル, , Kuroru^?) is a mysterious boy who emerged from a seed-like object (Seed) that suddenly appeared in Virtual Diverland, where Kento Yuki and his friends reside. When he was first discovered, he was in the form of an infant, but he grew at an accelerated rate. He possesses a unique ability that allows him to directly connect his body to computers and other digital devices to extract and read data.

In reality, Chlor is the sole survivor of a planet that was annihilated by Delitros a million years ago. He had a past connection with Gladion, as they were once inhabitants of the same star system. The two were even rivals in an intergalactic martial arts tournament, battling for the championship title. Inspired by Gladion's lone resistance against Delitros, Chlor rallied warriors from other planets to fight alongside him. However, like Gladion, he was caught in Delitros' self-destruction, losing his physical body. He then became a Datanoid, wandering through networks until he finally reappeared before Kento and his team.

As a Datanoid, Chlor possesses a unique combat ability where he charges through an enemy's body, piercing them, and causing a large flower to bloom from their back. Despite his tragic past, he forms a bond with Kento and his friends. However, his very presence disrupts the balance of Virtual Diverland, causing Jean-Jacques Jacquard and Sho Kurachi to temporarily vanish. This also attracts Gerrard, who pursues Chlor, leading to a fierce battle where Kento and the others struggle against their formidable opponent. Realizing he has no true place to belong, Chlor fully matures into his original form and joins the fight.

During the battle, Chlor successfully injures Gerrard, but is ultimately struck down by a powerful counterattack. However, he does not perish completely. Instead, he transforms into a small flower, remaining under the watchful care of Kento and his allies, waiting for the day he will be reborn.
